Accessibility.
Physics and Fiber Arts wants every knitter to be able to browse, buy and use our patterns, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This page explains what we've done, where we know we fall short, and how to get help.
Our goal
We aim for physicsandfiberarts.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We last reviewed the site against these guidelines in October 2026 and fixed the issues we found.
What we've done
- Pages work with a keyboard alone, show a visible outline on whatever has focus, and start with a "Skip to content" link.
- Pages use headings, landmarks and labels so screen readers can navigate them, and form errors are announced and explained in text.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
- Animations are switched off if your device is set to reduce motion, and the "Pause animations" button at the bottom of every page stops them anywhere. Your choice is remembered in that browser.
- Text can be zoomed and the layout adapts to small screens.
- Pattern PDFs include written instructions alongside every chart, so you don't need to read a chart to knit the pattern.
Known limitations
- Pattern PDFs are designed for printing and reading on screen, and may not work well with every screen reader. If a PDF doesn't work for you, email us and we'll do our best to send the pattern in a format that does.
- Payment happens on Stripe's checkout page, which Stripe maintains. Stripe's accessibility information.
- Links to Ravelry and other sites take you to pages we don't control.
Get help or give feedback

We'll reply as soon as we can, and if you're trying to buy or use a pattern, we'll help you do that while we work on a fix.

We'll keep this page up to date as we make improvements, and update the date at the top when we do.
